Dr. Joanna MacDonald
My experience with Joanna was thoroughly positive! Before seeing her, I was extremely skeptical of chiropractors in general. But after endless months of severe lower back pain not going away, like it always did when I was younger, I went to my M.D. However, I simply couldn't accept, "you're getting older and should just take painkillers", for that's simply masking the symptoms. So, on the strong recommendation of a family friend, I contacted Dr. MacDonald.
I immediately liked her straightforward approach. Much like an Engineer of the Body, she sought to discover the problem and help me fix it. From the get go, she was adamant of her role in the process but also ensured that I understood my own responsibilities as well. In this way, we worked as a team, not just to get rid of the back pain but also to improve my overall health. She has inspired me to take control and responsibility of my own health and well being, something that, like many people, I was able to take for granted in my 20's and 30's.
Therefore, in no uncertain terms, I couldn't be more pleased to offer a strong recommendation for others to see Dr. Joanna MacDonald!

I’ll start by saying that chiropractors scare me and I had never had a good experience. I’ve tried a couple in the past, and have always felt nervous and unsettle when the cracking begins and they say they really are helping by contorting me into strange positions that make my body make even strangers noises, but really I never saw any improvement and the whole procedure made me feel slightly ill.
When I woke up one morning and couldn’t move my left arm, I knew something was wrong. I’m not sure how it happened and can’t image what position I got myself into while I was sleeping, but I got to my desk that day and couldn’t sit for more than 5 minutes at a time, so I was sent home and spent the next say laying on the floor.
I went to Performance Posture because it is close to my office, and someone else in the office was going and said they were great. I didn’t think I had anything to lose, I already couldn’t move so I stopped in and was told the best person to see was Dr. Joanna MacDonald, a chiropractor. I shuddered inside, but said ok as I just wanted the pain to stop.
When I first me Dr. Joanna, I told her exactly how I felt about her profession and my pas experiences. She was very understanding, and after examining me, including how I sit and stand, explained everything to me about how I sit at my desk and hold myself when I walk. I started feeling better very quickly, and after a few sessions was good as new. The entire experience was different, in that she took in my entire situation, and not just what the problem was that brought me in the door. I felt like she understood how I felt about the treatment, and always took care to make sure I knew what she was doing and why. And made sure that I wasn’t unsettled by what was happening.
I was back at my desk in no time, and found I was paying much closer attention to how I sit, the way I carry myself when I walk and just a general sense of taking care to myself so I don’t need to go trough that experience again.
I highly recommend Performance Posture, and I’ve now sent other co-workers and also my husband after he was in a car accident. Everyone there is very friendly, and I really appreciate the care and attention they paid through all of my visits.

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for all your work today. I have to say that that was one of the most positive experiences that I have ever had with a Doctor! I thought that you had a fantastic way of providing me with as much information as my brain could handle and helping me to understand why I am feeling the way I am and what needs to be done to correct it. Thanks again and I’ll see you on Monday. By the way, I am typing this email with everything at a 90 degree angle J.
Have a Great Day!
