Posture
The concept is familiar to everyone. Most of us even know that our own posture isn’t perfect. But, what can we do about it? And is it really important enough to worry about?
Posture is known as “the position from which movement begins and ends.” Knowing this, it stands to reason that if the initial posture is faulty, then the movement will also be faulty.
For instance, in the case of the golf swing, posture is critically important. Will the body’s spine and other joints be aligned properly, with optimal muscular stability and full functional ranges of motion? Or will there be abnormal curves, shifts or twists present in the body, contributing to reduced joint movement, poor balance and stressful, inefficient swing mechanics?
The only way to answer this question is to start with a detailed assessment process.
